The next meeting of the ClearWater Direct Seeders will focus on crop rotation opportunities through oilseed crops in direct seed systems. Joe Thompson of the University of Idaho Dept. of Biological and Agricultural Engineering will share information about research in his facility on processing oilseeds. He will demonstrate making biodiesel as he speaks. Steve Riggers will speak about experiences with canola, mustard, and camelina crops in direct seed rotation.
The breakfast meeting will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 7:00 AM at the Red Lion Hotel in Lewiston. Breakfast is sponsored by the Bank of Whitman, Clarkston Branch.
